Beat Capital | May 18, 2022
Beat Capital Partners is expanding into the United States and has selected OneShield Software's SaaS technology platform to launch new Managing General Agents (MGAs). Beat Capital Partners is a highly successful insurance sector investor in the United noted for providing start-up money, infrastructure, risk capital, and A+ rated paper to new ventures.
The outstanding features of the OneShield Market Solutions (OMS) SaaS platform are the reason for Beat's entry into the US market. OMS includes functionality for policy management (binding, quoting, and servicing), billing (invoicing through payment), claims administration and document management, reporting, and analysis. All of these can be customized to meet the complex needs of MGAs.
We did a thorough analysis of available insurance technology platforms and chose OneShield for various reasons, including OMS's all-in-one pricing approach, overall system capabilities, and substantial industry knowledge. The team at OneShield thoroughly understood our overall business concept, and the platform itself has a stellar reputation in the startup and MGA markets."
April Galda Joyce, CEO of Beat Capital America.
Last year was a big year for OneShield's SaaS offering as many start-up insurers and MGAs wanted to adopt scalable and adaptable technologies with proven rapid time-to-market deployment schedules. We are delighted to meet these similar standards for Beat Capital and look forward to working with them as they expand their business in the United States."
Liza Smith, OneShield's Chief Revenue Officer.

Majesco | June 09, 2021
Majesco, a global leader of cloud insurance software solutions for insurance business transformation, today announced cloud-native core containerization for Majesco P&C Core Suite and Majesco L&A and Group Core Suite to provide portability, agility, speed-to-market, and ease of environment consistency management for companies accelerating their business transformation on the cloud.
Majesco P&C Core Suite and Majesco L&A and Group Core Suite are built as Docker images, orchestrated using Kubernetes, and deployed as Helm charts enabling customers to run on any cloud infrastructure. Majesco will continue to assess the right balance of further decomposition into granular microservices based on customer and market-driven demands with the first decomposition completed. With parallel run validations, this transition is seamless – with no business interruptions – and requires no additional testing or change efforts for carriers.
With cloud-native core Containerization support, Majesco's cloud operations will be more reliable, responsive, and secure. Additional benefits include:
• Consistency – Enable consistency of deployments across all environments through the same app deployment structure and infrastructure configurations.
• Dynamic Scalability – Dynamic adjustments to computing resources by automatically scaling to new nodes based on load for better ROI and operational readiness.
• Superior Availability – Separating functionality across containers and monitoring for problem detection and self-healing to deliver higher availability.
• Enhanced Security - Applications isolation from the host and each other, Kubernetes secrets for provisioning passwords/keys, and automatic app management and deployment provides enhanced security.
• Faster Deployment - Standardized docker images enable faster deployment of Majesco Apps and faster patching for host OS.
• Cloud Platform Agnostic - Abstraction from host OS, an inherent feature of containerization, makes the app run on any cloud platform.
• Cost-Effectiveness - Scaling of lightweight containers, auto-scaling, and a high degree of automation significantly reduce operating costs with horizontal scaling.
Majesco was named a Leader in the October 2020 Magic Quadrant for P&C Core Insurance Platforms, North America, and a Visionary in the August 2020 Magic Quadrant for Life Insurance Policy Administration Systems, North America. The company also received an XCelent award for Depth of Service in Celent's Policy Administration Systems: North America Property Casualty Report and named the Top "Best-in-Class" Vendor in the P&C Policy Administration Aite Matrix Report.

Overhaul | January 12, 2022
Overhaul and Movingdots are collaborating to provide motor carriers with the necessary actionable data to identify and address driver behavior. Movingdots is a technology subsidiary of Swiss Re developing data-driven mobility solutions for insurers, car manufacturers and platform providers globally. Overhaul is the industry's first and only software-based, supply-chain visibility, integrity, and security solution for the world's leading brands. Overhaul's TruckShield platform will work with Movingdots' telematics solution Coloride to enhance data gathering and machine learning techniques, allowing carriers to detect and correct risky driver behavioral events, helping ensure on-time shipments while also lowering costs for insurers.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), in the US in 2019, more than 118,000 large trucks were involved in crashes resulting in an injury, a 5% increase from 2018. As a result, motor carrier coverage has risen dramatically in recent years, with premiums projected to rise more than 14% in 2021 and yearly coverage rates as high as $30,000 per year in some cases. By partnering together, Movingdots and Overhaul will ultimately lower insurance costs and premiums by assisting clients in identifying risky behavior and changing it – improving their overall risk management by adopting better driving behaviors and helping to reduce the number of accidents.
"Coloride technology can coach drivers to implement safer driving behaviors, preventing accidents on the road, By joining forces with Overhaul, many more commercial fleets will get access to this technology. Drivers will see their trip details including risk events like excessive speeds and will have an overview on how to improve their driving style. We are thrilled to continue spreading safety and innovation in mobility through cutting-edge technology together with Overhaul."
-Donato Genovese, Movingdots' CEO.
Using the trucking industry's first and only app-based risk management technology, insurers can rely on TruckShield and Coloride to showcase fleet safety and deliver reliable data that can be critical when determining insurance pricing. Coloride's events detection software algorithms can identify driver behaviors such as speeding or harsh braking; coupled with TruckShield's ability to implement corrective coaching, carriers can reduce future risks and accidents through effective actions.
"Motor carrier owners and operators alike are facing astronomical insurance rates and having to reallocate funds and resources, only creating more hurdles and roadblocks for the industry, Our work with Movingdots is helping revolutionize a trucking industry that's in need of any opportunity to gain a competitive advantage, be it increased visibility, on-time deliveries or lower insurance premiums. We're proud of our ongoing innovations with the Movingdots team and look forward to standing by our trucking clients across each and every route."
-David Broe, COO of Overhaul.
