Clements Worldwide: Navigating uncertain roads with WorldAuto coverage

Insurance Business America | April 11, 2019

Operating fleets of commercial vehicles on international roads can be challenging. International roads are not always easily navigable or in the best condition, and weak or crumbling infrastructure can cause damage to vehicles in everyday use. To add fuel to the fire, in some parts of the world, political violence, war, car-jacking, and theft are day-to-day exposures that international fleet operators must navigate. To address these risks, global insurance solutions provider Clements Worldwide has developed WorldAuto, a program providing international vehicle insurance for fleets. The program, which has a particular focus on high-risk areas, offers one policy to cover buses, motorcycles, armored vehicles, trucks, cars, and SUVs against vehicle-related transportation hazards, including theft and collision protection. It covers vehicles in most countries in the world, as long as they’re outside of the US and Canada and not listed under OFAC sanctions. The coverage is comprehensive and collision, so it can cover road accident, theft, vandalism – any type of physical damage that could happen to the vehicle.

KBRA Assigns Insurance Financial Strength Rating to Tower Hill Insurance Exchange

KBRA | December 30, 2021

Kroll Bond Rating Agency (KBRA) assigns an Insurance Financial Strength Rating of BBB+ with a Stable Outlook to Tower Hill Insurance Exchange (THIE). THIE was formed as a Florida reciprocal exchange and will begin writing residential property insurance in Florida within its first year of operation and continue to expand in the Florida market over the subsequent two years. The rating reflects its sound initial capitalization, conservative investment portfolio, and reasonable business plan. THIE will benefit from the established market presence, distribution, and risk management of the Tower Hill Insurance Group (Tower Hill) - a privately owned organization comprised of three Florida-domiciled direct writers, an affiliate offshore reinsurer, a managing general agency (MGA), and two claims services companies. Tower Hill is one of Florida’s largest residential property insurers with approximately 6% market share. Balancing these strengths are THIE’s exposure to natural catastrophes, and a lack of geographic and product diversification. THIE’s revenues and earnings are expected to be concentrated in Florida, a state exposed to both natural catastrophes and significant legal challenges for residential property insurance writers. In addition, initial capital is solely funded through surplus notes with annual interest expenses of approximately $16 million. This is somewhat offset by THIE’s low start-up costs versus more typical start-ups. Further information on key credit considerations, sensitivity analyses that consider what factors can affect these credit ratings and how they could lead to an upgrade or a downgrade, and ESG factors (where they are a key driver behind the change to the credit rating or rating outlook) can be found in the full rating report referenced above. A description of all substantially material sources that were used to prepare the credit rating and information on the methodology(ies) (inclusive of any material models and sensitivity analyses of the relevant key rating assumptions, as applicable) used in determining the credit rating is available in the Information Disclosure Form(s) located here. About KBRA Kroll Bond Rating Agency, LLC (KBRA) is a full-service credit rating agency registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as an NRSRO. Kroll Bond Rating Agency Europe Limited is registered as a CRA with the European Securities and Markets Authority. ZENTIST IMPROVES THE VERIFICATION OF INSURANCE ELIGIBILITY AND PATIENT BENEFITS

Zentist | June 08, 2022

The denials management feature in Zentist's Remit AI software revolutionizes the way dental support organizations (DSOs) and dental practices utilize Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) while meeting the crucial challenge of dealing with denials. Claims are commonly returned to dental practices unpaid and under a 'pending' status because they were submitted with insufficient information. While eligibility and coverage issues render some claims unpayable, many more are closed prematurely, leaving hundreds of millions of dollars on the table. This money goes unpaid, to the benefit of the insurance company instead of the patient. According to the National Association of Dental Plans, just 4% of insurance company revenue is used to pay patient benefits. Our goal is to help dental practices minimize denials to almost 0 by providing actionable data that improves eligibility and benefit verification and eliminate blind spots in revenue cycle management." Ato Kasymov, CEO and Co-founder of Zentist. Remit AI decreases the level of accounts receivable (AR) by cleaning the claims coming from payment information. The software automatically filters all ERAs and Explanations of Benefits (EOBs), gathering and categorizing denials. Remit AI identifies any further actions to be taken before a denial can be resubmitted. We have an enormous ability to control our revenue cycle management process with Remit AI and are excited with the results we achieved with Denials Management. Our team's efficiency to manage claims has at least quadrupled and we have clear data as to how we can improve and drastically reduce claim denials pretty fast." Semira Avanessian, Director of Revenue Cycle Management for Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Boston Pediatric Dental Group. When Remit AI is able to identify the cause of an unpaid claim and solve that problem, preventing other claims from being returned for the same reason, the software pays for itself – eventually tenfold." Mr. Kasymov. About Zentist Zentist is a platform that uses advanced technology to simplify and automate insurance revenue cycle management (RCM) for dental practices. At a time when dental businesses lose an estimated $2.1 billion due to legacy billing systems, Zentist leverages robotic process automation (RPA) and machine learning to place otherwise tedious billing tasks on autopilot. Zentist's platform is fully and easily scalable to meet the more complex billing needs of the modern dental industry—which has been marked by aggressive consolidation and unprecedented pressures for scaling RCM. Its software minimizes human error, maximizes insurance payout, provides advanced analytics on revenue, and improves the patient-provider relationship.

Peter L. Miller, CPCU, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Institutes. BIIC is built from the ground up by insurance leaders, We are focused on spotlighting top talent to key leaders and insurance industry role models who share similar cultural experiences." Susan Johnson, Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer at The Hartford. Obstacles for Black insurance professionals are greater than for other people of color, according to the Marsh study. These obstacles impact individuals and have far-reaching business impacts. Black employees are also nearly twice as likely as other people of color to perceive their race will make it harder to achieve their goals, according to a recent study by McKinsey, Race in the Workplace: The Black Experience in the U.S. Private Sector. This initiative was named as a collective because we believe we can achieve more together than separately, We seek to address the unique, cultural, mental, and psychological experiences and challenges encountered by Black insurance professionals in achieving their career aspirations." Sponsorship will facilitate funding for BICC's key education and leadership development initiatives.
