QBE eyes Commonwealth Bank's insurance unit

Pat Regan, chief executive of Australia-based QBE Insurance Group Ltd., said that the insurer is considering buying Commonwealth Bank of Australia's general insurance unit, Paint and Panel reported citing sources. Commonwealth Bank started a strategic review of its general insurance business in June 2018 and is likely to begin the sales process this year.
