Allstate Insurance won’t sell to Brampton residents due to ‘high risk’ of fraud among visible minorities, lawsuit claims

A former employee at one of Canada's largest insurance providers is accusing the company of discriminating against residents in Brampton. In a wrongful dismissal lawsuit, Allstate Insurance Company of Canada is accused of implementing a discriminatory practice that prevented employees from selling insurance to Brampton residents because they are a “high risk” and the region had a large amount of "fraudulent activity."
