Insurers begin claims settlement after China quake

Insurance companies in China have deployed emergency response procedures for the settlement of claims after a 6.0-magnitude earthquake hit jolted the southwestern province of Sichuan on June 17.
These measures include setting up a 24-hour hotline for claims settlement, seeking out customers, opening multiple channels to accept reports, simplifying materials, and lifting restrictions on designated hospitals, a report by Xinhuasaid.
