Sharon Ludlow: Insurance industry must improve the female talent pipeline

The Canadian insurance industry has a pipeline problem when it comes to strong female talent. It has a great track record at the top, specifically with regards to women in the CEO chair, but in the immediate pipeline levels below, women are still missing. Insurance is no different to any other financial services industry in terms of its typical talent funnel in which the ranks of senior females thins out as you get closer to the top – but there are strategies insurance organizations can adopt to buck that pipeline trend.
